World Cup Fever
Sunday, July 02, 2006

Wow i just went blog surfing & realised that mong & kj woke up so early & even blogged.

World Cup's on & suddenly everyone is like brothers & sisters overnight talking about football & cheering together lols. Never underestimate the influence of world cup. heard from my dad that Brazil has lost to France. Hmm... that's quite unexpected. But i also heard that Brazil's standard dropped this time round. Anyway, I think Germany has a high chance of taking the Cup this year. My dad has been going down to the coffeeshop to watch the matches these few nights while my bro has gone to my grandmother's place to watch. Me? Haha I just sleep regularly & hear about the results the next day. I'm just interested in the results now that Korea has dropped out.

Haha these few days kept hearing funny things which happened at the coffeeshop while he was watching the match. Everyone was cheering & shouting, even cars which were passing by stopped to take a look at the scores before continue driving.

Actually it doesn't really matter who takes the Cup. It's the process that matters. The audience get their entertainment, the footballs gain experience, businessmen take this opportunity to do business, taking advantage of the World Cup fever, etc. My dad said as long as the footballers get to play for the World Cup, then their income would come in millions even if they do not win. So I guess it's not so bad. If one county wins, then it just brings pride to their fellow countrymen.

Later going to buy present for deanna. Going to JS too.
